The TCA was established and registered in 1992 under the Associations
Incorporations Act 1984, and is one of the largest and most active
Tibetan community groups in Australia.
Our aims and objectives are to:

Follow sincerely the insightful guidance of His Holiness the
14th Dalai Lama, the spiritual and temporal leader of Tibetan
people, the true refuge, the protector and the tangible gem
of Tibetan people,

Work for the preservation of the unique spiritual and cultural
heritage of Tibet,

Contribute positively to the people of the world, in general,
and in particular, to bring peace, happiness and harmony to
the ever progressing Australian public,
-
Respect Australian law and culture and participate in democratic
processes,
-
Not forget the Tibetan fundamental cause, and through the path
of non-violence and peace, attain happiness, independence and
the right to equality for the 6 million Tibetan people, just
as other people on this earth enjoy these.
What the Tibetan Community of Australia (NSW) does:

Provides support for residents or citizens of Australia of
Tibetan origin

Maintains and preserves the rich cultural heritage and traditions
of Tibet
-
Promotes an understanding within the Australian Community of
the cultural traditions of Tibet
-
Provides facilities for Community members, including recreational
and other activities consistent with the aims and objectives
of the Community
-
Provides members and others with the opportunity to learn about
Tibetan culture, custom and language
-
Provides regular Tibetan language classes for Tibetan children
in our Community
-
Raises awareness of and educates the Australian public about
the situation in Tibet
-
Organises celebrations of major Tibetan festivals such as Tibetan
New Year (Losar), and birthdays of His Holiness the Dalai Lama
and the Panchen Lama
-
Offers voluntary contributions to the Tibetan Government-in-Exile
-
Organises peaceful protests against persecution and violations
of human rights by Chinese authorities in Tibet
-
Participates in the annual Peace March to raise awareness of
the political situation in occupied Tibet
-
Supports and participates in activities and events organized
by Tibet Support Groups in Australia
-
Organises meetings with visiting high incarnate Lamas for special
teachings and blessings to the members of the Tibetan Community
-
Provides information to the newly arrived Tibetan refugees
in NSW
-
Plans to establish a Tibet Education Fund in order to contribute
to the needs of Tibetan youths in exile in India and Nepal
